New Look - New Vision- One Community

June 2022

A New Approach

Welcome to a new division of our organization, HFHS Homeless Services and the name that binds everything together - HFHS Community.

HFHS Homeless Services was created to add additional services to our community, filling a visible need. Building off the foundation of Holy Family Home & Shelter, we will be adding services as the need arises and continuing to put our organization in position to fill that need. We started the process internally. We have rebranded, reorganized, and began expanding our operations from being a shelter in Willimantic CT, to an organization that will combine our current shelter services with a mission to provide additional services to the underserved people in our community. One Community

That is the reason for our organization's new website and domain - HFHS Community. HFHS Community that is growing from shelter services to providing add-ons such as outreach, assistance in finding affordable housing, supportive services in a variety of areas, and basic needs to those experiencing homelessness or poverty in Windham County. We serve the most vulnerable with compassion and respect while introducing new opportunities to end homelessness in our community.

  • New leadership with a new vision
  • New Brand
  • New partnerships
  • Soft renovation to our facility with new computer and meeting rooms for our guests
  • New website

Updated Facilities

The beginning of 2022 brought a new year. With each new year comes a new start. We took this opportunity to update our organization in many different ways. We ended 2021 with a phone system and internet upgrade thanks to a grant awarded to us by TVCCA. Bill Correll and PDS2K upgraded and installed the new system, developing a partnership that remains a part of our organization now.
  • New leadership with a new vision.
  • New Brand with New Partnerships.
  • Soft renovation to our facility with new computer and meeting rooms for our guests.
  • New website and other tech upgrades.
Fresh paint was applied to the interior walls of the facility giving it a clean, fresh look. This project was initiated by the team at Liberty Bank volunteering their time to serve their community. Bender Wallpaper & Paint completed the project.

Computer Access

A computer room was created to give guests access to the tools they need to access the internet to search for housing and employment.

Meeting Room

A meeting room has been renovated and reserved for counseling services and a place where all staff and social service providers can meet.

Computer Lab

A computer room was created to give guests access to the tools they need to access to the
internet to search for housing and employment

The real change is our organization’s vision. A New Look. A New Vision. One Community. With Gratitude
